My brother has a Pfaff 145 industrial machine with a broken tension spring. I need to see a picture of how the spring goes back on, to be sure it is on correctly. I have looked at the manual, but it is unclear.
the spring you talking about is the take up spring,it goes against the body of the machine in such a way that when everything is put back together it must still be able to move freely as it control the tension on the take up lever.hope it helps

Thanks, Johan, for answering. The spring is on the main tension at the front of the machine. The spring itself is larger at one end, with a piece sticking out in front. My main question is if this part sticking out goes in front of the tension discs. It appears to in the manual and seems to make sense as it holds the thread going into the take up lever. Wish I knew how to put a picture on here.
