Mercedes ML270 problem?

I have an auto gearbox problem. It doesnt change cleanly between 3rd and 4th when warm. On kickdown it can also appear to momentarily find neutral. Better when the tip change is used but still "slips" going from 3rd to 4th. Any ideas?

on the other hand check for an oil leak from the gear box this is common and an easy fix the part is called a coding plug,top up oil level and all will be well
