Mend Peugeot 307 Automatic Gearbox Seems

automatic gearbox seems to stick in second?

when pulling off at a speed ie on bypass the gears seem to stick in second then I have to manually change it to fourth
what could be the problem
my car is a 307 auto, 16000 petrol it's a 51 plate

Not a fluid problem. If you lift off throttle after kick down it will stay in that gear. You have to put your foot down slightly to upshift. This will take 1 to 2 seconds. If it's not this repost with a bit more detail.

Get the ATF (automatic transmission fluid) changed.
