pfaff creative 1471 sewing machine?

bobbin holder has come loose. Have stripped the machine & located the screws that secure the bobbin holder to the shaft. Can anybody help and explain on how to set the timing when the needle goes down to pick up the bobbin cotton?
All pinion gears are ok.
PLEASE HELP
