How can I fix my Kenmore 70 Series Washing Machine... It washes, but stops?
How can I fix my Kenmore 70 Series Washing Machine... it washes, but stops when it is time to drain. I disconnected the hose from the drain, and slowly drained the water out into a bucket and removed the clothes. Is it the pump? motor? timer? switch? how do I troubleshoot this?
Also, do you hear the motor trying to run? If not it could be a bad lid switch.

Open the washer to check if there's something stuck in the pump. A small sock or such will prevent draining. Pull the hose off the pump and look inside.
