Why does washer leak water when it spins?

Kelvinator Heavy duty extra large capacity model mwx121rbw2, serial xc54975002, 12-95 leaks a lot of water when it's in the spin cycle.

Not sure about this machine but in the past I've come across appliances that have shaken the hose off from the dispenser enabling water to drop down into the drum but when it comes to a spin in one direction it'll throw it back up and out.
