Mend Hoover Washer Filter Fine

My Hoover washer dryer filter is full of water?

My Hoover washer dryer seems to work fine but when I unsrew the filter to check if it needs cleaning, it pours water all over the floor. This isn't just residual dribbles, but about a pint of water. Why is this? Is it normal? It doesn't leak during a wash.

yes this is normal.its the water coming back from the drain hose.About a pint as you say ;)
