Mend Hotpoint WD64 Water Leak

Water leak?

I've a Hotpoint WD64 washer/dryer, water floods from the detergent tray when filling, everything seems clear, all pipes to drum are fine.
Is the cold water pressure too high? but it used to be ok? could there be a problem in the tray housing whereby the water is spraying outwards instead of downwards during fill?
Can you advise please.

Could be too high water pressure - fit rubber reducer washers to inlet. Could be waterscale in the tray inlet misdirecting the jet.
