Initially my washer (Fisher paykel gwl15) was leaking water so we set it on cinder blocks to see where the leak was coming from and to monitor for awhile. Saw it dripping from the pump. Some loads dripped more than others. During my last load it was stopping and starting frequently during rinse, drum would turn very slowly and after about 5 min stop and beep continuosly with just the first four lights on (orange, green, green, green). ANy ideas to try and fix this? Will replacing the pump fix the newest problem?
I think you are digging a bigger hole for yourself. Firstly, the pump leaking would of been dripping on to ground not shorting out any electrics,. Secondly, if you killed the board it would be dead and not showing an error code, you would have nothing showing. Replacing the board is expensive and may be unnecessary. If you change it yourself then F&P will not give you any warranty so if you stuff that board you will be out of pocket. Suggest you contact your local service company if F&P is too expensive and ask them to come & diagnose the fault properly and replace only what is necessary. Just guessing and replacing parts at random is false economy. tell them you want a quote first.

Thanks for checking. From what I've read I think I probably killed the controller board when i ran it with a leaking pump. I know the pump is easy to replace do you know how easy it is to replace the controller board? Can you give instructions to replace the board? Thanks

Sorry but all the F&P models I have seen here in NZ have 8 lights but from left side is 5 green for wash then 2 orange for rinse & 1 red for final spin. They do not have an orange light on far left. Also, ignoring the colours and just going on the number for the lights, the lights you gave as being on add up to error code 184 but there is no error 184 in the service manual. So either the light sequence you have given me is wrong or that model is different from the ones here. Only thing I can suggest is you call F&P customer care call centre & see if they know what that error is. I don't think replacing the pump will be the answer but it may fix the leak. Take the pump out and check the seal is clean & sitting tight first.

I am not familiar with this model. Can you confirm which lights are on when it beeps. How many lights along the top row are there. Most models I have seen have 8. That is 5 x green then 3 x orange & 1 x red for spin. Count from the left and tell me exactly what is on and what is off.
