Mend Scantronic 9448/9440 Off Power

why does my scantronic 9448 go off on power restore?

my 9440 goes into full alarm condition when not set ,but after
a powercut.The alarm goes off when power is restored.

most alarm systems go into full alarm on power up it sounds like your backup battery is not taking over when your mains fails check your backup battery is at least 12 volts
