I had to turn the mains power of for some minor upgrades today,all was going well for an hour or so untill the alarm went off.I tried to stop the noise by entering the code and that did not work.
I tried again this time with the mains power established but it did not seem to respond to my code either,so I turned mains off and disconnected the battery and let it ring.
All is quiet now but I'm at a loss as to what has happened and where to go now regarding getting it back up and running again.Any help in this situation would be much appreciated.
no prob mate ,the 9448 is a good panel,but some times when it loses all power it reverts back to factory defaults,and needs reprogrammed ,so if you need the engineering book let me know I will send you a copy

The guy who fitted the alarm only left the user guide,i did try the factory code,but i have yet to fit a new battery which i intend purchasing tomorrow,thanks to your advice Gts.

replace the battery in the control panel,you may need to reprogramme the panel mate
