Mend Hitachi 53UDX10B Tv Projection Turn

How can I fix my TV Hitachi 53 inch Projection Model 53UDX10B?

TV will not turn off completely. Brand Hitachi 53 inch Projection Model 53UDX10B. When I push the power button either on the remote or TV, the screen seems to shuts down (goes blank) but the Red “ON” LED indicator at the front of the TV set stays on. I am not hearing the power on/off click that use to occur; the TV seems to work fine otherwise. I did unplug the set for about 8 hour to see if anything would reset but no luck. I have pulled the service manual with schematics off the Internet, any help on what circuit to look at and what signals or voltages to check or what components would effect this function.

I have the same problem, for me this is the 3th time that I put more that 300$ each time in this tv, when it work this is a good tv but It cost a /*$(/*$( $$$$, If your problem is the same as mine this the Convergence problem board a IC on one of the Board, the problem is that the IC board overhead and the IC blow... I'' put a fan in the back of the tv where there is hole to keep the IC Board coller,
This a problem with this Model
If the TV dosen`t work when you turn it on, this is probably the Power supply that cut the power to the board because there is a kind of Short circuit on the board, When the board will be fix, the Power Supply should ok.
