dell gx110 cant get past setup screen?

i have recently aquired a dell optiplex gx110 bios version a09 it was password protected on the setup screen i have now disabled this by removing the pswd jumper and internal battery and replaced them i still cant get past the setup screen every time it boots up it wont regonise the hard drive and says f2 to setup i have taken out all the ribbons and made sure they are connected ok but i still cant get it to boot up.

Sound like the hard disk does not have an operating system. To confirm this, see if you can finds a recovery CD disk or DOS boot diskette and see if they work.
