Mend Craftsman LT2000 Hp Lawn Starts

stalling of craftsman 17.0 hp lawn tracter?

my craftsman 17.0 hp lt2000 kohler engine starts up and run for 10 minutes than its start to sputter and slowly die. i replace the spark plug and filters at the beginning of the season. it starts up but than it dies within 5 minutes, it also seems like it doesn't have power.

Two reasons that worked for me;dirt at the bottom of tank, doesnot take much just remove tank &clean. also thereis a vent hole on gas cap that plugs up, loosen the cap when it starts to run rough if that works ,it's the vent.Good luck.
