agitates then spins a minute and stops?

i have a frigidaire fws8 top loadthat works fine until spin cycle, it will try to spin then stops for a while and does this over and over until finished three hours later

It sounds like the thermal overload is shutting the motor down, which means the motor is probley in need of replacment. For that washer I think the cost is around $150 plus labor if you have someone else do it.
