Fisher & Paykel washing machine will not spin?

I have replaced the waterpump motor and the machine is working fine now.

I have just had the same problem. Today I took the machine apart, could'nt see any thing wrong and put it back together.
I started it up again on a short wash cycle which it coped with until it got to the spin. I had the front cover off watching and saw smoke coming from what I think is a small transformer so think I have found the problem. I will get an electrician friend to advise me, buy a new part and fit it.
I should have taken the front cover off first because I did think I smelt something the other day but it didn't quite smell like wiring to me but it cetainly is now. Will advise of the actual component in a few days when I have fixed the problem.
