What is wrong with my Hoover 750 LB washing machine? The timer (rotary) switch is working alright, I have just replaced it in fact, but the agitator does not rotate forward/reverse on washing cycle. Sometimes it does for a short while only but is not able to finish the cycle. It also does not spin dry at the end of the cycle. It fills in the water properly and the water pump pumps out the water in the proper cycle alright. I am suspecting that the electronic forward reverse sync module is the problem. Could I be right?
My 750lb hoover toploader makes winding noice like a airplane taking off . Can u help please

Had the same problem. Replacing motor control unit with new: type Electrolux 0628271101. Is a known problem with these units. Approximate cost in Australia $AUS80

My Hoover 750lb washing machine will not spin. When I disconnect the motor underneath, it is very difficult to rotate the drive gear in the centre. I suspect the bearing has seized or is very close to it. How do I replace the bearing?

Its now working. I just replaced the electronic forward reverse sync module and the motor capacitor.
