Mend Accenta Optima G3 Alarm

Accenta / Optima G3 Alarm question?

I moved into a house a few months back, the previous owner stating they never used the alarm from new, so presume the code is factory default.
However I cannot get the alarm system to do anything, ive tried going into programming mode, setting alarm, nothing. The keypad has no reaction. The system tamper LED and Power LED are on. How do I wake this thing up ?
Ive downloaded all the instruction manuals and cannot find an action that the system will respond to.

If a tamper fault is present on the system (which it is, as indicated by the tamper led) it will go to lockout condition, you need to locate and rectify the fault, then you will be able to use the system as normal.
Common fault for tamper is front cover of pir sensor getting dislodged during decorating, suggest you check those first !
