Cannot login without a password?

Dell Dimension 4100 PC, with XP professional. Have been using this setup for three years without a logon password. After being away for three months I switched on to find that it requests me to login with a password, obiviouly not possible because I have never use one. Any suggests? I have tried to open safe mode using F2 but without response. I have also inserted the XP Disc at restart, again without success.

You can reset the password if you have another machine you can access and burn a boot CD to reset the password on your machine:

I've used this on Win NT, 2000 and XP, HOWEVER, did have a problem once with Promise SATA RAID controller -- it wouldn't recognize this hd controller.
