on kenmore model 970-C45092-00 washing machine, is it common to find the front panel at the top left above the soap tray cracked or broke. I had this replaced soon after i purchased it, and it is broke again for no apparent reason. sears say its cosmetic. the machine is less than two years old.

Our kenmore 970-C45092-00 has done the same thing. As far as I'm concerned this washer has been a lemon. We have had to replace the front glass, and there was another part that went a sensor I believe. Each time the repair person comes checks it out and then another 2-4 week waiting peroiod. I had a top load before and never had these kinds of prooblems. I have a friend who also bought from Sears but not made by frigidaire. Total differnt machine. REcently our soap dispeser has cracked. What a joke. I spent the extra on extended warranty, I might as well have bought a new machine.

my model 970-C45092-00 front panel cracked as well. I chose not to replace it, and am glad I didn't bother.
Now my 2 year old machine has stopped working with an error message LOC. We are a family of 6 and I am waiting til May sometime for a repair visit.
