Mend Simpson 756 Washing Machine Showing

I have a simpson encore 756 washing machine, when I fill it up it then sto?

then it stops with HC showing on the panel. It makes a quiet beeping noise but it does not empty. Can I do something to correct this without getting a service man out to fix it The machine is 14 years old.

HC means it cannot see any rise in the water level over a set period of time. If water is definitely flowing in fast & strong flow then you either have a faulty control board or the water level pressure tube is not doing it's job properly. It may have a hole worn in it from rubbing on the inside of the cabinet.
