Mend Hanari DH202 Fan Motor Turning Start

fan motor?

The fan motor on my Hanari DH202 dehumidifier has stopped turning correctly, it fails to start when first switched on then after a short delay it start turning but in the wrong direction. If spun by hand (using a wooden skewer to fit between the slats) it will fire up and run perfectly - any ideas what the problem is

If the motor uses a capacitor to start and run, this may have failed. SHould be easy enough to replace with a similar value
