Mend Miele G595sc Start Program Switched

Miele G595sc won't start?

The program lights on my Miele G595sc illuminate when switched on but when any program is selected nothing happens

I just had this problem and it was due to the anti flood device in the base of the machine operating due to a leak somewhere and cutting off the water supply. My problem now is how to get at the underneath of the machine to find the leak!!
I overcame the problem temporarily by tipping and gettin the water out.

power goes to the door switch first then to the suppressor then to the timer ,if door switch is o/c open circuit then no power goes to the main switch then hence to the timer simple

Call for an engineer George - or take a chance and fit a new inlet valve yourself - your idea of bypassing it will not work.

You might try throwing in half a bucket of water and starting it off - I would - but be warned - disasters have always followed me around the home.

there is a solenoid valve at the end of the inlet water hose which controls the inlet water .shall I bypass that or will it flood the machine?

Try turning the dial to "off" first to let it reset, then move it to the program you want.

Perhaps no water is entering the machine - do you see any water when you open the door? It takes water to wash the dishes.
