burning smell and loud noise from hoover ?

my hoover started to smell of burning and making a very loud noise its a Hoover TCR4233 001 i have took the casing off how do i check the belt or what ever else it could be i need images please

If the noise is a raucous buzzing farty sound, the chances are the motor is U/S. Probably best to get a check diagnosis from a techie who can listen. It'll probably mean a new machine

The noise and the burning smell - both - will be coming from the motor.

There is a possibility that dust and grit is being allowed to get into the air flow that's used to cool the motor.

Find the internal filter and check it - I would guess that it has never been washed.
