Mend Hygiena Cooker Hood Not Working

cooker hood not working?

I have a hygiena cooker hood which makes a really loud noise when switched on. The motor itself was covered in grease from the previous owner and although I have cleaned the outside of the motor, it is still not working.

the fan blade on the motor might need to be lose, and is banging off the body as it turns, you need to check the screw that holds the blades on , make sure its tight, DO NOT HAVE any power going to it when your working on it,,
