Mend Hoover Logic Series Drum Not Turning

drum not turning?

i moved my hoover logic reversing dryer and now the drum isn't turning, i removed the lid and when i give drum a push it starts to work but it stops everytime its time to reverse

its an induction motor jj.not a series wound motor

no brushes in this motor or any capacitor start motor ,but your right,it will be the start cap ,remove the plug from mains socket before working on the machine

think your starting cap is problem,normally a sqaure or round unit with two wires close to motor,replace and unit should work exept if motor brushes is also worn out
