Mend Defy 720 Washing Machine Pump Noise

defy laundromaid toploader washing machine not pumping water making noise?

Hi, I have a defy electrologic 720 washing machine. The pump propellor keeps on coming loose and wont pump out the water making a terrible noise. If I replace the o ring on the pump shaft, will this sort it out?
