Mend Sears VGS6500 Engage Cutting Deck

Cant engage cutting deck?

i have a sears 26HP garden tractor VGS6500. when i engage the blade to cut it bougs down the tractor almost to the point of killing. i checked all the bearings on the deck they are good.
