Mend Peugeot 806 LX Gearbox Automatic Problem

our peugeot 806 LX semi-auto?

our peugeot 086 LX semi-automatic gearbox wont go into park! it was fine one minute and then when i went to park up its now acting like its locked off from going into the park position. anyone know if this is a prob with the gearbox its self or is it something else???? thanks :)
