It means the controller is getting a bad reading from the RPS (Rotor Position Sensor) It is a small electronic sensor mounted on top of the motor copper winding (stator) Check the wiring harness plug which goes in to the RPS. The contacts sometimes get green corrosion on them causing a bad contact. Try cleaning them. If not that then fit a new RPS. Lay machine down on front panel, Remove rotor bowl on motor. Loosen 4 hex bolts holding stator & pull down slightly. Remove & inspect plug of wiring on RPS. If good then remove & replace RPS. Take note of where old one comes out from. It must slot back in exactly same place. There is a notch in rim to align centre of RPS.
