Mend Volkswagen Golf Mk4 1.4S Help

oil light has stayed on,on my golf?

hi could anyone help in telling me why the oil light on my mk4 golf 1.4s has come on just all of a sudden on start up,the light has come on in a orange colour(not the usual red colour) many thanks

filled it up mate,light is still coming on,do you think it might be the oil light switch

thanks SD,i`ll give it a try,i thought it was unsual that the oil light had come on in an orange coloured light and not the usual red colour
