cooling problem?

hi can you help please i have a mk4 golf 2.0 gti i have changed the thermostat but the water temp is cold half way round the system and there is alot of presure in the pipes and i have no heat in the car thank you john

if youve got a lot of pressure, you problyu have a lot of air in the system, when replacing radiator fluid your supost to use a compression gauge to push the air out the system
