mitsubbishi vcr model hs m58?

the vcr has a symbol displayed dtr when i play a cassette i get no picture but have sound what is dtr and how do i get rid off it.
it has only just appeared in the last few days

My guess dtr = digital tracking. It's attempting to set the tracking but is unable to. Possibly due to dirty control head, video heads or poor tape path due to wear.
