Brand new still in box GE 52gw947 won't turn on?

Retirees never opened box with TV. Been in temperature controlled storage for approx. 8-9 years. Gave it to me. Can't get power to come on. Tested fuse at Radio Shack and its good. Any suggestions before I have to get hired help?
