Mend GE 31GT740 Tv Turns Off

My TV turns on and off constantly by itself?

My GE model 31GT740 started turning itself on and off constantly at different times throughout the day. Is it the TV or could it be the power strip? Nothing else on the strip is doing this. The TV is probably at least 3 years old but we got it from a family member so I don't know for sure. Anyone ever had this problem? It's gotten so we can't watch TV because it just keeps turning on and off!!

DON'T keep using it in that state, or you will stress the components. it probablt has a dry joint or a component has drifted out od spec. get it to a technician while the repair is still likely to be cheap. A set this recent is almost certainly worth repair.
