Mend Aqualisa 164310 Thermostatic Shower Cartridge

how to replace aqualisa aquarian thermostatic cartridge (164310) ?

Decided to buy a new cartridge, but I am not sure how to fit it.
I gather from others that it is simple and quick to change. Can any body tell me the steps how to do it. Got a quote of £ 110 from a plumber, seems a bit steep for 15 min. work. Thanks for any tips.
