The shower drips through the head, even after turning off the dial. Plumber says ''Someone has overtightened the control dial when turning off the water...'' '' ... plastic parts within the valve mechanism have broken off...'' ''...that'll be fifty quid, please... blah blah...'' I have identified that either the Cartridge (thermostatic) or the valve body may have suffered damage and want to replace the parts (rather than buy a new shower unit as was recommended by the plumber). Does anyone know, am I am on the right lines?
I have a similar problem with a slightly newer model. Also when starting to shower some water runs out of the body of the shower head rather than at the end. Have tried to dismantle the shower head without success. Any ideas how to do this?

Hello,
Yes, you can buy both the body and the cartridge as spare parts. If you go onto this web site, they can send spares out overnight.
