My landrover disco started making a banging noise and then started to lose power , managed to get it home . Looked under bonet and oil was spilling out of valve cover.
removed valve cover and rocker shaft which had snapped after the first rocker arm.
what could have caused this to happen?

my freelander has hill decent the green light does not light but the orange light comes on for no reason can I pull a fuse to isolate the orange light if so which one thanks .
