Mend Vauxhall Vectra Power Making Loud

54 plate vectra?

hi my car has very little power , its also making a loud reving noise in 2nd & 3rd gear can you give me some advice please.

hi thanks for advice , i was told that the clutch is slipping,by a friend,then on my way home tonight it would'nt go into gear,got home by putting it into first then starting engine,driving very slow not too get the revs go high

If the engine is revving but the car does not pick up speed it's most likely the clutch is slipping.
Do you tend to hold the car on the clutch on hills and at junctions instead of using the handbrake?

Get to a garage, sounds like a gearbox fault, either way without seeing the car couldn't be sure, when the vectra has a fault the engine management will cut power to the car for safety, it may be something simple?? get to a garage!
