can you service a double bed knitting machine?

can not line up double bed to main carriage not used it in years it is a brother machine

Hi June,
To start with make sure the number strips on both the ribber and main bed are centralised - they can slip out of position.
Make sure the ribber is set to Full Pitch and racked to centre of Racking Indicator, P3.
Before you tighten the clamps, position the ribber so that the centres of the beds line up.
