Mend Vauxhall Vivaro Revs Starting Up

No revs when starting up?

Hi I have a 2006 1.9 Vivaro when starting up at any time there is no throttle but if you keep trying the ignition sometimes the revs come on straight away . If not if you let the vehicle tick over the revs come on after about 30 seconds any ideas ????
