Hi i have a Gilera Dna 50cc 2002 model. I bought it a few weaks back and it seemed to be working fine but about a week ago, it started and i set off, got half way down the road and it wouldn't accellerate, and then the revs starting dropping and the by choked to a stop. I cleaned the spark plug, and then it started. I tried taking it for a ride, but as i accellerated it just choked then cut out. Please help me, and suggestion would help. Thanks
to be honest the only real way of cleaning the exhaust out is cutting it in half and removing any blocked pipes or loose catalytic converters an welding it back together,there is a drain screw on the bottom of the carb that will allow the water to drain out of it has any in it i would sugget you put a container unde it before you do it and you will see the water in the fuel if it has any in it.this will of course empty the carb and will need to be spun over for a few more seconds that normal to get it going again as it need to have the new fuel pumps up there again.

ok sam now what your saying sounds like either the exhaust is blocked up or the carb has a blockage or water in it.
and st john your bike sounds like it has seized up if it slowed down and now your kickstart has locked up.

same happened to me, but my piaggio nrg wont even start, and the kicker is stuck. help us both someone....please
