renault clio auto ?

i have a auto that sometimes on start up will just rev up to 3 thousand revs and just sit there for no apparent reason, no foot on accelerator, plenty of free play in throttle cable, clearance in the stepper motor, have had it happen and car runs away with me (60 in a 30 no fun) after stopping it and starting it a couple of times it then acts ok any ideas
