Mend Craftsman 6.0 Lawnmower Engine Starting

craftsman lawnmower not starting?

I have a6.0 hp craftsman lawnmower. The air filter was dirty, so i tried to clean it with gas.. then replaced it.. this did not work, so I bought a new filter, and cleaned the spark plug, still won't start, sometimes there is a sputter but then it dies??

Wil need to check for spark at plug and then fuel in carb ....if it sputters its proably a fuel problem ...........try putting a little fuel in cylinder and see if it fires if it does you proably have a stuck needle and seat in carb
Take plug out and with a suitable device put fuel in hole of cylinder ,,put plug back in and try ..if it runs for a second or two its a fuel problem
