my old dad has been having trouble starting his lawnmower so on checking have found that the engine oil is full of petrol, removed both plugs and both cylinders were full of petrol it had been running fine until today he is old but adamant he put petrol in correct place, engine is a Honda V twin 16hp OHC any ideas before I replace oil filter etc many thanks John
If the carb has been flooding then its possible that the engine could have been filling up overnight.....anyway, change the oil and filter, and use the petrol tap if it has one - or put one in the fuel line.
