Mend Humidex 7 Wont Unit Start

why wont my unit start?

I have just bought a bungalow which has a Humidex 7 in the conservatory I Have plugged it in but it will not start! (I've checked the fuse) any ideas?

some have a timer on the settings so that when it is re-set you must wait a while.
On mine i have to wait 20 mins or so before it will activate,even then it doesn't come on straight away.
refer to manual TROUBLE SHOOTING should be in there.
make sure all settings are correct.
is the water tank in correctly?
