Computer beeps when turned on, screen is blank.

The number and cadence of the beeps are an error code. Count them and then look them up in the PC's repair manual. If you don't can't get a manual for your PC AND the manufacturer has stuck to the IBM PC standard then an IBM/Lenovo manual should help.

BTW, beeps and nothing else can be a BAAAAAD sign.
