Mend Sears 26" Lawn Mower Self Propelled Drive Belt

How can I make my Sears 26" self propelled lawn mower go faster?

It mows at an agonizing slow pace. I have checked the drive belt and it does not appear to be warn. Also the engine spped appears to be normal.
