Mend Zanussi zwd1471w Washing Machine Fault Pump

Zanussi zwd1471w washer drains ok dryer e20 fault?

Hi, I have a zwd1471w and the washing machine works just fine washing full cycle, but when it gets to the drying it stops with an e20 fault.
I've cleaned out the filter (no blockages) and I've taken off the pump (also no blockages or debris) and reset the thermo with no success. I would like to know if the pump is faulty, why does it work all through a full cycle wash but stops when drying?
Could it be anything else? I have just ordered a new machine but would rather fix this as the oven has just gone toes up too and we can't afford both.

Mine has been doing the same thing for about a year. But now its started doing on a wash cycle too!

I think i'll just go out and buy a different unit.

It is 5 years old now so..

Just to update on the problem, i have found that if i program the dryer to dry for ten minutes, it will dry for ten minutes no problem draining throughout. However if i set it for any longer, 15 min up, it stops with E20 fault after only a minute! I have tried this three times in a row in ten minute increments with no problem.

e20 is a no drain issue.could be a faulty pump or pcb triac but without test kit its hard to be 100% sure on this.check drain hose isn't blocked or restricted.hold it in a bucket and make sure it empties full pelt.Mechanical faults on washer dryer pumps have been known to be an issue.your call really!
