belt noise vw golf ?

from cold start theres a noise from the timing belt area 10 months ago new belt fitted and water pump after driving about a mile noise goes but on start up even when engine hot noise returns and will go again after short distance mine is a 1996 golf petrol mk 3 any ideas please

also check the timing belt cover has been refitted properly

its good policy to renew the tensioner when new belt fitted,the cost is nothing compared to the cost if the belt fails due to a jammed tensioner

soz they did not friend of a friend but i neva had a belt kit so neva had new tenisioner or roller
